The San Antonio Spurs won the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery and the No. 1 pick, Victor Wembanyama.

The Spurs finished in 15th place in the Western Conference in the 2022-23 NBA season, with a 22-60 record. A far cry from the excellence of Gregg Popovich, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Webanyama is being touted as the greatest draft prospect in NBA history – even ahead of LeBron James. Woj went as far as to call him the greatest prospect in teams sports history.

If Wembanyama pans out, he is surely to return the San Antonio Spurs back to the championship ways.
