LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese has been everywhere since winning the 2023 NCAA Championship. Bayou Barbie’s influence has grown so much that Reese is included in the Harper’s BAZAAR 2023 BAZAAR Icons list.
Reese is joined by Teyana Taylor, wife of 2016 NBA champion Iman Shumpert.
In terms of basketball, Reese’s primary goal currently is to win another NCAA title, and then join the WNBA.
“I want to get another national championship. That’s my biggest thing [with] college, just walking out national champion and getting a degree. Then going into the WNBA.”

The 2023 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player is making bank while in college, so there’s no rush to go pro yet.
Reese hopes to see the expansion of the WNBA to allow for more opportunities for women basketball players coming out of college. The growing popularity of stars like Angel Reese should contribute to this.
