Point guard Chelsea Gray suffered an apparent ankle injury in Sunday’s Las Vegas Aces vs. New York Liberty WNBA Finals Game 3 contest.
Gray could be heard saying, “My foot popped.”
This is a possible series-shifter, as Gray has been running that Aces offense to perfection. She had 20 points and nine assists in Game 1, and 14 points and 11 assists in Game 2.
Aces head coach Becky Hammond commented on Chelsea Gray’s status, per FOX 5 Vegas:
“I can’t give you an update, I’ll let you know when we know,” Las Vegas coach Becky Hammon said.
We’re hoping the Chelsea Gray injury is nothing serious.
The Liberty have a chance to even the series in Game 4, after the 87-73 win.
