The Miami Heat and Portland Trail Blazers will re-engage in talks surrounding the Damian Lillard trade before the start of 2023 NBA training camp, according to NBA insider Shams Charania. Lillard won’t report to any other training camps, except the Heat or Trail Blazers.

Essentially, the seven-time NBA All-Star will not play for any team he’s traded to if it isn’t the Miami Heat. The Damian Lillard, Miami Heat trade seems like the only option at this point, if a trade is to occur.
