USA vs. Canada FIBA World Cup Bronze-Medal Game
Team USA will exit the FIBA World Cup without a medal, as Canada outlasted USA 127-118 in overtime in the bronze-medal game on Sunday.
Dillon Brooks revels in playing the villain. The opportunity to snatch that medal from Team USA had to excite him. Brooks went off for 39 points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up 31 points of his own. Canada’s leaders did what they had to do to secure the win.
Anthony Edwards led the Americans with 24 points. It’s a disappointing showing for Team USA, but redemption will come in the 2024 Olympics.
