Middleton and Giannis battled in earlier years before each were established in their roles. The NBA All-Star rightfully acknowledges Giannis emerged as Batman, but also points out there are moments where he’ll step in and shine on certain nights.

The outsider onlooker might be more concerned with the roles of a team, but the greatest appreciation will come from those on the inside. No one will appreciate Khris Middleton more than Giannis Antetokounmpo. In the same way, no one will appreciate Derek Fisher more than Shaquille O‘Neal, though Fisher played an even lesser role for Shaq than Middleton has played for Giannis.
When you’re in the trenches together, you know just how important guys are to your success. It works best when players know and accept their roles.
