Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is ready to commit to playing in the 2024 Summer Olympics, according to a report from Shams Charania and Joe Vardon of The Athletic (H/T LA Times). LeBron has also recruited Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Stephen Curry, Jayson Tatum and Draymond Green. Also showing interest are Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving, Devin Booker and De’Aaron Fox.

One would assume this was the direct result of Team USA failing to medal at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, however, the report indicates LeBron had this plan in motion prior to the competition.

Still the loss and Noah Lyles controversy is sure to add extra motivation. The 2024 Olympic squad will feature the best NBA players from the USA, in what will most certainly be a gold-medal result.
