NBA trade news: The Boston Celtics have acquired Jrue Holiday from the Portland Trail Blazers. Adrian Wojnarowski brought the news, via X (H/T Draft Kings Network):

Jrue Holiday was originally traded from the Milwaukee Bucks to the Blazers in a blockbuster that landed Damian Lillard with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Jrue Holiday trade to Boston is huge, as it gives the Celtics a proven leader and decision-maker. Jrue helped the Bucks win the 2021 NBA Championship, so he makes for the right third link to the Jayson Tatum–Jaylen Brown duo.

The NBA Eastern Conference in going to be a tough out in the 2024 NBA playoffs.
