NBA injury report: Steven Adams injury
Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams will have season-ending surgery to repair his right knee. ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski brought the news, via X:
Steven Adams will miss the 2023-24 NBA season. The big man missed 40 games during the 2022-23 NBA season, due to injury. The Grizzlies were hoping to have him back in the middle of the paint for this upcoming season, but they’ll have to wait another year.
Steve Adams averaged 8.6 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in the 40 games he played last year (via Basketball Reference). He is a massive body in the paint. You’d have to see him in person on the court to see the space he covers.
