Basketball fans were treated to a good game Saturday as the Minnesota Timberwolves battled the New York Knicks in NBA Preseason action at Madison Square Garden. This one had a regular season game feel to it early on, with both teams competing hard.
The Timberwolves got the win, 121-112.
Naz Reid was the high scorer on the T-Wolves side with 22 points. Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns had 17 points apiece.
On the Knicks side, RJ Barrett dominated the first quarter with 15 points. He finished with a game-high 23 points. The Knicks are hoping Barrett has a breakout 2023-24 NBA season. Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle scored nine points and seven points, respectively.
